SUNSKI

Sunski builds sustainable sunglasses around one simple belief, good design and environmental responsibility should never be separate goals. Founded in 2012 in California, the brand crafts every frame from SuperLight, a proprietary recycled polymer made from post industrial scrap plastic. Explore our full sunglasses collection to see how Sunski fits alongside other outdoor ready eyewear.

The Story Behind Sunski

Sunski was founded in 2012 by Tom and Michael, whose friendship formed over a shared love of salsa dancing and Australian surf trips before evolving into a passion for sustainable, well made sunglasses. What started as a Kickstarter project quickly grew into an independently owned California brand built entirely around planet conscious design. Since then, Sunski has donated over $250,000 through its membership in 1% for the Planet, backing environmental causes with real sales, not just profit.

What Makes Sunski Different

Every Sunski frame is made from SuperLight, a recycled polymer that transforms scrap industrial plastic into a lightweight, durable material without sacrificing style or comfort. Polarized lenses offer full UVA and UVB protection while reducing glare, and packaging is completely free of single use plastic, using origami style folds made from recycled cardboard instead. A Forever Warranty backs every pair, along with replacement lenses available for most styles, similar to the long term value found across our travel shoes collection.
